Getting Started with CoreGolf
Module 0: Day 1 Profile, Golf Bag & Biometric Setup Guide
Welcome to CoreGolf. Before hitting the golf course or the gym, spend 3 minutes completing this one-time configuration. Setting up your digital bag, baseline handicap, and physical profile ensures that our Gemini 2.5 Flash AI Vision Scanner, on-course Strokes Gained baselines, and athletic conditioning engines perform with 100% precision from your very first swing.
Step 1
Access the Configuration Hub
Your global settings live inside the central Configuration Hub:
- Open CoreGolf and log in with your Google Account or Email.
- On the main Mission Control screen, tap the ⚙️ (Settings) button.
- From here, you can manage your Golf Bag, Baseline Targets, Fitness Dictionary, and Equipment Calibrations.
Step 2 (Critical)
Configure Your Golf Bag Inventory
Why this matters: When you photograph your physical paper tracking card, our Gemini AI vision engine strictly cross-references your handwritten club shorthand against the active clubs in your digital bag [6, 7].
The Golden Rule: The exact abbreviations you write on your scorecard (e.g. 7i, SW, 5W) must exist as active clubs in your digital bag [6]!
- Tap "⛳ Golf Bag Inventory".
- Review the master list of standard clubs:
- Woods: D (Driver), 3W, 5W, 7W
- Irons: 4i through 9i
- Wedges: PW, GW, SW, LW
- Putter: P
- Toggle the switches ON for the exact 14 clubs currently in your golf bag.
- Toggle OFF any clubs sitting at home in your closet or garage.
-
Adding Custom Clubs: If you carry a driving iron, utility wood, or specialty stamped wedge (e.g.,
2i, 3H, 52, 58):
- Tap "➕ Add Custom Club" at the bottom of the screen.
- Type the exact name you write on scorecards (e.g.
52 or 2-Iron).
- Select the Club Type (Wood, Hybrid, Iron, Wedge, Putter) and tap Save to Bag.
Step 3
Set Your Playing Defaults & Strokes Gained Baseline
- Return to Settings and tap "👤 Profile & Biometrics".
- Under Golf Defaults, configure your playing parameters:
- Dexterity: Toggle Right-Handed vs. Left-Handed.
- Measurement Unit: Toggle Yards vs. Meters. All Strokes Gained tables, yardage books, and range calculations will automatically synchronize to your preference.
-
Select Your Target Baseline:
Tap the Strokes Gained Baseline dropdown to choose your default benchmark:
PGA Tour / LPGA Tour (Tour pro benchmarks)
Men's Scratch (0) / Women's Scratch (0) (Scratch amateur target)
Men's 5 HDCP / Women's 5 HDCP (Mid-single digit benchmark)
Men's 10 HDCP / Women's 10 HDCP (Mid-handicap benchmark)
Men's 20 HDCP / Women's 20 HDCP (High-handicap benchmark)
Tip: You can switch this comparison benchmark on the fly at any time inside the Performance Hub!
Step 4
Physical Profile & Morning Readiness Biometrics
CoreGolf evaluates the rotational athlete behind the golf club. Your biometrics calibrate your Estimated 1-Rep Max (e1RM) ceiling, recovery heatmaps, and Central Nervous System (CNS) fatigue tracking.
- Configure your baseline measurements:
- Birth Year: Calibrates cardiovascular training zones and age-adjusted recovery.
- Height & Weight: Power-to-weight ratio tracking and biomechanical leverage.
- Body Tape Measurements (Optional): Track structural muscle hypertrophy across Chest, Waist, Left/Right Biceps, and Quads.
-
The 30-Second Morning Readiness Check-In:
From the Mission Control dashboard, tap "Daily Metrics" each morning. Log your Sleep Score, HRV (Heart Rate Variability), Resting Heart Rate (RHR), and subjective readiness (1–10). This directly drives your 28-Day Recovery Heatmap in the Fitness Hub!
Step 5
Calibrate Your Resistance Bands (Speed & Strength)
When training golf speed and rotational core strength with elastic resistance bands, CoreGolf automatically translates spoken band colors into accurate poundage for your volume and 1-Rep Max (e1RM) calculations.
- In Settings, open "Fitness Dictionary" and select the Bands tab to review your Band Tension Mappings:
- Yellow = 10 lbs
- Blue = 20 lbs
- Green = 30 lbs
- Black = 40 lbs
- Red = 50 lbs
-
Custom Brand Calibration: If you use specialized commercial bands (e.g. Rogue, Bodylastics, Theraband) with different resistance ratings, tap any band color to edit its assigned resistance weight.
-
Hands-Free Voice AI Integration: When using the Voice Workout Logger, simply speak your exercise normally: "Black band single-arm chest press, 15 reps." The Gemini AI automatically identifies the black band and commits 40 lbs of resistance straight to your gym ledger!
Where to Go Next
Your ecosystem is now completely configured. Choose your training path:
- On the Golf Course: Download our Printable Scorecard (PDF), study our Scorecard Marking Guide, and scan your card with Gemini AI after the 18th hole.
- On the Range & Putting Green: Open Practice Session to log range shots with live Strokes Gained math, or calibrate your gate with the in-app screen ruler for Putting Gate Drills.
- In the Gym: Check your morning readiness biometrics, grab your dumbbells, barbells, or speed sticks, and let the Voice Workout Logger record your sets hands-free.
